SHOUT, SHOUT, LET IT ALL OUT! THESE ARE THE THINGS I CAN DO WITHOUT! (The Sequel)

Boy, I gotta tell ya, just being alive in this day and age creates a whole plethora of irritating issues. For starters, how can the human race as a whole be so God Damned cruel! I am appalled at the general lack of kindness and generosity this stinking heap of a people attempt so poorly to offer. It's not even the lack or morals and chivalry soaring freely throughout the Internet that's the problem, albeit, second only to Porn, being an asshole has to be holding a sizable chunk of the percentage pie. No, what I'm eluding to is just the every-day Joe hanging around outside of his or her domicile reeking with an air of pissiness. I was at Meijer today with Simon just doing some quick shopping. and we were paying for our groceries when, just out of sheer absent-mindedness, I asked the clerk if she wouldn't mind ringing up the purchases with something additional. She was absolutely more than willing to make sure that I had everything I needed in order to complete my transaction. However, the amazingly brazen bitch directly behind me skewered me with such a demonic look I felt as though I'd just pissed on her party dress. I literally held the line up for the grand total of two extra minutes and you'd have thought I just stole precious life moments from her very soul! I couldn't, unfortunately, say anything since Simon is so wont to repeat those types of precious moments, so I just glanced away and proceeded with my business. That, friends, is what I mean. Had the check-out lady informed me of the possible inconvenience to the next folks in line, I gladly would have waited for a better time, but, as it was, she was more than cheerful about the little afterthought and did her best to help. Good thing I didn't waste anymore of the psycho woman's oh-so guarded time, she might have attempted to murder me. Next: look, I understand that President Bush is pretty much a lost cause and a fuck-up at this point, we're not going to get past that, but would any other candidate have handled the war issue really, convincingly, any differently? Okay, I'll concede that another president, likely a Democrat, would never have gone to war in the first place without more of a well-conceived plan at hand, but, what would the outcome have been had that president not? I just can't wrap my mind around the possibility that this ongoing skirmish would have been brought to its current head any other way. The very idea that we really didn't even have to go to war in the first place is preposterous! There is no way anyone would have let us just bypass the aftermath of 9/11 with a mere slap on the wrist and a sweep under a rug! And to think otherwise is patently ludicrous! Yes, again I'll bow to the fact that we've been at war for quite possibly too long a time, but, conversely, after hearing from soldiers (namely Amy's cousin who is currently injured) saying that they would gladly return to the battlefield is just a testament to how well thing are really going in Iraq. To 'arm-chair command' like most of us enjoy so much, blasting the President's every move and calling for troop removal, is just careless and irresponsible. Perhaps Bush isn't the best option for Commander In Chief for a war of this magnitude, but I seriously have my doubts about the effectiveness of our future White House prospect fairing any better. They all talk a great game, but, mark my words, doing one thing that appeases many is still going to piss off the remainder. You can't win. But either way; supporting what has to be done gets further than turning your back. I'm tired to the point of narcolepsy of stupid-ass bumper stickers proclaiming one inane thing after another. I saw one today that proudly announced "DO YOU LIKE HIGH GAS PRICES? BUSH SURE DOES!" Does he really? Does he sit there in his leather office chair and say, "Let's do something silly like, oh, I don't know, raise gas prices by invading Iraq because they housed the collective dick heads who crashed jets into our buildings killing thousands. Let's do that!" I'll be willing to bet those were his exact words. Idiots. Hey, how about this one: "I JUST RAN OVER YOUR HONOR ROLL STUDENT" How fucking ghastly is that statement of unnecessary violence? Oh, yeah? Well my delinquent son just shot holes in your piece of shit car, how's that? Idiots. Here's a classic: "JESUS CHRIST! I LOVE EVOLUTION!" Don't do that. You live in the USA where, that last time I checked, we are all given the inalienable rights to believe how we choose. Yes, evolution has some backers, and, so far, this Christianity thing has caught on pretty well, too. Quit advertising your mixed beliefs on the back of your '82 Chevy Luv and keep your half-assed comments to yourself. Unless it says something I like that's really funny, then by all means. --THE TOP TEN THINGS THAT TORQUE MY GEARS AT THIS MOMENT-- 10) The job market in Michigan = worthless. 9) Stupid, stupid people. 8) People with ADD who do nothing but... hey, cool shoes! 7) Returning fads that needed to stay dead and buried. 6) Comics in the paper that are the polar opposite of funny. Or: All of them. 5) People who do nothing but complain. Oh, wait... 4) Trying so hard that failure hurts like red hot lead. 3) Presidential hopeful campaign time = more irritating that an ass itch. 2) Fruit Flies. Don't get me started. 1) Once again, the looming unknown... Thanks for your time. Go away now. Stew

This Blog thing I enjoy has literally made me a name it at least Azerbaijan and in some locations deep in the Congo... so that's cool. Besides infrequently putting forth minimal effort doing a blog, I also try a fair bit harder to make people laugh in their cereal over at GUNAXIN.COM, which is where I actually get paid to make up stupid stuff and use foul language. Anyway... why are you still reading this? Oh, and while you're here, you might as well go check out my DeviatArt page, too! http://stewwriter.deviantart.com/
